IKEA Hiring PIs to Snoop on Angry Customers:

According to a French news portal, Mediapart, IKEA hired a Private Investigator to follow up on an angry customer’s claim that she’d been having to stay at a hotel whilst waiting for her overdue delivery.

Hannah, a previous IKEA customer, had ordered a kitchen and beds from the furniture giant, only to find herself having to stay in a hotel as she waited for the goods to arrive. With no kitchen or beds, she had no means to continue living in her home until the order was delivered.

After receiving a letter of complaint, and a hefty bill from Hannah, asking the company to pay for her hotel stay, IKEA went about hiring a Private Investigator to find out whether what she was claiming was genuine.
